Director of Church Operations
JOB OVERVIEW
This role reports to the Senior Pastor overseeing the administrative, operational, and financial functions of Willow Creek Church.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Office Management
- Develop and maintain operating policies and procedures.
- Act as central point of contact for administrative queries.
- Manage assigned administrative projects.
- Finance
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
- Coordinate financial planning and budget creation.
- Ensure compliance with insurance policies.
- Communication
- Ensure timely communication of ministry events and responsibilities.
- Liaise with ministry leaders, facilities staff, and stakeholders.
- Oversee church website and social media presence.
- Human Resources
- Support administrative staff and maintain HR policies.
- Coordinate staff management with Senior Pastor.
- Assist with benefits/payroll.
- Facilities
- Oversee facility use, rental agreements, and maintenance.
- Manage cleaning, facilities, and maintenance staff.
- Plan asset lifecycle care
- Technology
- Support IT equipment maintenance and software upgrades.
- Manage church membership database and software.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Deepening relationship with Jesus and active church membership.
- Servant leader with humility, approachability, and conflict resolution skills.
- Comfortable with technology, including IT administration and Microsoft Office.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIRMENTS
- This is a non-ordained position; theological degree not required
- Bachelor degree preferred
