Youth Intern: First Presbyterian Church of Villa Rica

Job Description:

Expectations

  • Develop programs that serve students and their parents.
  • Teach on a regular basis at these programs
  • Create opportunities for students to gain bonding experiences together
  • Work with other FPCVR leaders to integrate youth ministry into the larger vision of the church.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Accountability: The youth intern will be in full submission to the session of elders, and will report directly to the pastor.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Youth group
    • Currently on Wednesday and includes the following
      • Bible study
      • Worship
      • Games and Fellowship
  • Youth Sunday school
  •  Discipleship
    • Checking in with youth and college aged members
    • One on one meetings if needed
    • Ability to be available to youth within reason outside of youth group
  •  Support
    • Supporting any of the church members that are currently discipling youth and college aged members.
    • Supporting youth parents in discipleship
