Second Full Time Pastor
Job Description:
The new minister would work alongside our current full-time pastor and the officers by implementing the vision and mission of the Church in the areas of discipleship and outreach. His primary ministerial duties will be to our youth and college-aged members as well as the unchurched in our community. He would also have a share in all the duties and responsibilities of the pastoral ministry including the opportunities to teach, preach, administer the sacraments, and any other duties as requested or needed.
We seek to improve on our ministry goals by calling a second full-time pastor and assigning to him the following areas of labor:
- Discipling individuals in their personal walk with Christ.
- Mentoring parents for the purpose of strenthening our covenant families.
- Equipping our your with a knowledge, zeal, and love for the Savior.
- Reaching the unchurched in the greater Sioux Falls area.
In ministering to TRC’s youth and college-aged members, he will…
- Prepare for communicant membership.
- Help discover and utilize their God-given spiritual gifts.
- Engage in campus ministry.
- Work in discipleship.
- Engage and partner with parents.
- Lead in local, regional, and global youth service projects.
- Recruit volunteers to assist in the work of youth ministry.
In the outreach ministry of TRC, he will…
- Develop a comprehensive strategy to reach the unchurched.
- Assimilate the unchurched into the membership of TRC.
- Mobilize TRC to engage the community including service projects and evangelistic bible studies.
- Develop more intentional involvement in local and global mission endeavors.
- Improve welcoming and following up with visitors.
- Plan and organize opportunities for short-term mission trips.
Compensation…
· Compensation package will include health insurance, disability insurance, and life insurance.
· Total compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience and education.
