Music Ministry Leader

Job Description:

Hope Community Church (PCA) is looking for a part-time male music ministry leader (i.e. worship leader) who is passionate about worshiping God and helping others do the same. This part-time position (8-10 hrs/wk; including Sunday morning) includes a negotiable salary based on experience and training. 

Responsibilities

  • Have the ability to lead congregational singing & play an accompanying instrument.
  • Choose & recommend songs for the worship service each week to the pastor.
  • Schedule and lead musicians for Sunday morning services.
  • Lead weekly practice and music during Sunday morning services. 
  • Possess a passion for worship and desire to share that passion with others.
  • Represent the ministry and church in a manner that honors and glorifies God.
  • Join Hope Community Church as a member.
  • Participate in one of Hope’s small groups called Missional Communities (preferred).
  • Regularly pray for and encourage the musicians.

Position Qualifications:

  • Be a mature godly man (See 1 Tim. 3:1-7 & Titus 1:5-9).
  • Nurture a vibrant relationship with God by meditating on Scripture and prayer.
  • If married, spouse is supportive of your role.
  • Responsibilities are given proper priority: God, family, ministry.
  • Loves people. Servant leader. Strong organizational and communication skills.
