Live-in Caregivers
Job Description:
We are seeking a young married couple or two single females who are willing to help care for our elderly mother beginning in June 2024. She is still relatively independent but is no longer able to drive, so she would need help with transportation several times a week. She also needs daily assistance with medications, meal prep, and reminders to hydrate and maintain hygiene (e.g. changing, bathing) on a regular basis.
Duties include but will not be limited to medicine administration, meal prep, assisting with doctor/therapist recommended nutrition/exercise, accompanying on walks, occasional dining out with mom (your meal paid for), driving to/picking up from appointments/lunches, accompanying trips to the grocery store, etc., assisting with general activities, maintaining calendar and general companionship.
Mom currently has a housekeeper who comes 3 days a week to help with various household tasks and she usually participates in yoga and art lessons several times a week from outside instructors at home.
Schedule: hours are flexible but actual working hours are estimated to be 20-25 hours per week
We are willing to accommodate class/clinic schedules and want to provide time for participation in church and social activities as needed.
My wife and I live just on the other side of the neighborhood and stop by to visit with mom and assist if/when needed. We are always available when questions arise!
Compensation: $720 per week
Housing included, all utilities paid.
Paid holidays.

Position Qualifications:
Students enrolled in the MAC program or who possess previous experience in medicine/geriatric care are preferred, but not required.
