WORSHIP LEADER INTERNSHIP

 

Purpose: To lead in worship, to compile, produce, and lead musically while engaging the congregation in a God-glorifying service.

 

Time Commitment: 5-10 hours a week.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead worship on a weekly basis, also be flexible for possible special events.
  • Commit to weekly practice with worship team.
  • Compile Worship songs each week with the aid of the worship team.
  • Be in constant communication with the preaching pastor of the week regarding themes of the sermon, and the call to worship.
  • Arrive every Sunday at 9am for soundcheck.
  • Ensure slides or powerpoints are complete before Sunday morning’s arrival. 
  • Be prepared to read Scripture and pray as needed during Worship (or involve members of the congregation as needed).
  • Schedule who is playing on a monthly basis to ensure continuity as much as possible.
  • Attend scheduled meetings for the purpose of planning and accountability.  
  • Be ready to serve in other areas of the church if needed.

Compensation

$400.00 monthly 

Reports to: Interim Leadership Team 

Position Qualifications:

Position qualifications must include ability to lead musically, work with an interim Leadership team to choose hymns and songs that line up with scriptural themes weekly.

Description of Organization

Christ Alone Church is a church plant in Wilkesboro, NC. It was planted through The Gathering Church of West Jefferson NC and organized and became an autonomous church in January of 2023. The church has 10 charter members and several looking to join. The weekly attendance is around 20. Pastor Tim Bullington has recently resigned due to health reasons and will be transitioning out this summer. The Church is currently searching for a new pastor and would love some help particularly in the area of music weekly. Christ Alone Church is a Reformed Baptist Church holding to the 1689 Baptist Confession.
