Ministry Leader of Nursery & Childcare
Job Description:
Ministry Leader of Nursery & Childcare: Provide oversight and coordinate the Nursery (birth through 3 years) and Childcare Ministry as an integral part of the overall Children’s Ministry. Nursery: Lead, direct and support a gospel-centered Sunday morning ministry for our youngest disciples. Recruit and train volunteers who will care for and teach children in Nursery programming on Sunday mornings as part of the larger PCPC mission and vision. Shepherd and care for PCPC families and their children. Childcare: Coordinate with and support various PCPC ministries that require childcare as a part of their larger programming. Supervise and coordinate temporary or part-time staff for Childcare for all church events other than Sunday Morning.
Position Qualifications:
College degree preferred. Three years or more of experience working in Children’s Ministry or equivalent, or experience and education in the field of adolescent development, or in early childhood education. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Ministry Platform database a plus, but not required. Must affirm and uphold the Bible and its teachings, as well as Presbyterian theology and the Westminster Confession. Must possess an abiding faith in the Lord and be committed to serving God. Must be able to easily connect with people from various backgrounds, ages, and walks of faith. PCPC membership required.
