Designed to prepare students for pastoral ministry in a rigorous 106 semester-hour degree typically completed in 3 or 4 years.
Designed to prepare students for counseling ministry, specifically licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor, in a 78 semester-hour degree over 2 or 3 years.
Designed to strengthen the religious basis for one’s life and work, whether in a secular career or a church staff position, in a 66 semester-hour degree over 2 years.
Designed for Christians who desire to integrate theological studies with cultural and social concerns, in a 66 semester-hour degree over 2 years.
Certificate programs are tailored to meet the needs of the candidates or the requirements of agencies with which they may be associated. Missionary candidates may meet the requirements of their sending agencies by taking a one-year program in Bible, Theology, or Missions. Campus ministry candidates may find courses in Bible and theology to be a helpful addition to training that may be given by their supporting agencies. As with degree programs, a B.A. degree or its equivalent from an accredited school is required.
The Reformed Theological Seminary Counseling Center
The Reformed Theological Seminary Counseling Center is a clinic which offers individual, marital, and family therapy to the greater Jackson area. It operates as a ministry of Reformed Theological Seminary and serves as a clinical training facility for advanced graduate students in Counseling.
Summer Institute for Biblical Languages
The RTS Jackson Summer Institute for Biblical Languages (SIBL) provides thorough, intensive introductions to the biblical languages. Hebrew with Dr. Miles Van Pelt and Greek with Dr. Ben Gladd are offered during a special summer intensive in which each language is studied three hours per day, five days per week for eight weeks. During this eight week period, students will complete a full year of language study (Hebrew 1 and 2 or Greek 1 and 2).
