Job Description:
The WORSHIP LEADER works to accomplish our vision to see lives transformed by Jesus by helping people deepen their love of God through worship. Some of the major responsibilities of this position include:
- Create, lead and continually improve a culture of worship in our church in order to see lives transformed by Jesus. Lead a weekly worship service committed to excellence and designed to help people deepen their love of God.
- Recruit, empower, train and lead a team of worship volunteers for our weekly worship services.
- Coordinate and lead an A/V team that supports both our in-person and online services.
- Design various promotional materials such as sermon art, slides, social media posts, signs, etc.
- Develop and improve SCC’s social media presence on all applicable platforms.
- Operate within the agreed upon Ministry Standards of UNITY and REPENTANCE (see Ministry Standards on page 2 of the Employment Application)
- Lead from a place of OWNERSHIP and CURIOSITY (see Leader Values on page 3 of the Employment Application)
Position Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of skill, training, and experience in leading a church congregation in worshiping through music. In addition, it would be preferable if the candidate had some degree of skill, training, and/or experience 1) working with the audio/visual components associated with modern church services and 2) using technology to create ministry-related graphic art.
