Why RTS Washington?
RTS Washington offers rigorous academic programs designed to provide pastoral and theological training to those who would serve Jesus Christ in different contexts around the world as ministers, missionaries, scholars, and lay leadership.
Our student body is multiethnic, multidenominational, and professionally-minded. Our faculty and students collaborate to understand and apply the teaching of Scripture and the history of Reformed thought to the diverse experiences of the local and global church.
With our flexible course scheduling—including day, evening, weekends, and week-long intensives—students can work and study at the same time.
Our campus is located at the intersection of Old Courthouse Rd. and Lord Fairfax Rd. in Tysons, VA, walking distance from the Greensboro metro station and a short drive off the Capital Beltway. Tysons Corner is projected to be the fastest growing area in Northern Virginia.

History of RTS Washington
RTS Washington began offering classes in Bible, theology, church history, and apologetics in 1995. Over the next several years, our enrollment grew primarily from students seeking deeper foundations for an enriched biblical worldview and discerning a call to pastoral ministry.
In the last decade, our campus has made a number of notable strides—namely, receiving full accreditation for our Master of Divinity and Master of Arts (Religion and Biblical Studies) degrees, adding full-time residential faculty members, and moving to a location of our own—all of which has allowed us to serve our student body and the D.C. Metro area more effectively.
We are especially grateful for Fourth Presbyterian Church in Bethesda, MD, and McLean Presbyterian Church in McLean, VA, who have hosted us in the past, and for NewCity Church in Falls Church, VA, whose partnership has allowed us to move into a new facility in the Tysons Corner area of Northern Virginia.
These milestones testify to the mercies of our God. Through the leadership of the RTS board and executive committee, its generous donors, its partner churches, its staff and faculty, and its faithful students and their supportive families, RTS Washington has flourished in God’s hands.
