When to Apply

The Master of Divinity, MA in Biblical Studies, and MA in Theological Studies programs have a rolling admissions process. Students may apply at any time to enter one of four terms*:

  • Summer (June)
  • Fall (August)
  • Winter (January)
  • Spring (February)

Persons seeking admission should apply no earlier than one year and no later than one month before their expected enrollment semester.**

*The Master of Arts in Counseling program only begins in the summer term and is for full-time students only.  MAC applicants are encouraged to begin the admission process one year before the program begins. To learn more details about the MAC admission process, please click here.

Step 1: Apply

Complete Online Application

Application is made online. Applicants are required to*:

  • provide contact and demographic information
  • write three essays (Testimony of Christian Faith, Reflect on the Westminster Shorter Catechism, Reason for Degree Pursuit)
  • upload a recent photo
  • list pastoral and general references
  • pay an application fee

Although digital reference forms are sent automatically to the individuals listed in the application, it is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure the forms are completed.

Academic Transcripts

Applicants must request an official transcript be sent from each college or university where they have completed 6 or more semester hours (even if posted on subsequent transcripts).

Applicants in their final year of undergraduate studies, may submit unofficial transcripts for the purpose of application review. However, if admission is granted, this status will be pending receipt of official final transcripts.

Admission Decision

Once the admission items above have been received, a student’s file is sent to the admission review committee. An admission decision is frequently reached within a 3-4 day time period.

Step 2: Apply for Financial Aid

Upon admittance into a RTS program, a student may also submit an Application for Financial Aid. To begin a financial aid application, a student will be assigned a unique student ID number. To learn more about types of financial aid and how to apply, click the button below.

Step 3: Confirmation Deposit

A non-refundable tuition deposit of $200 must be paid to secure your seat in the program. This deposit will be applied toward your first term’s tuition. Click the button below to pay online.
