RTS Charlotte was started in 1992 on ten beautiful acres nestled in the heart of south Charlotte. Since that time, it has become a national and international training ground for pastors, missionaries, educators, and leaders in the church, attracting students from across the country and the world. The Charlotte campus has eleven residential faculty members, multiple degree programs, a library of over 70,000 volumes, and hundreds of alumni serving Christ all over the globe.
In 2012, RTS Charlotte purchased seven acres of undeveloped land adjacent to our current property, giving the campus a total of seventeen acres in one of the most attractive areas of the city. This land provides RTS Charlotte with an unprecedented opportunity for growth and expansion, so that even more men and women can be trained to take the good news of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.
The vision of RTS Charlotte is to train the next generation of leaders in the church to be pastor-scholars who pursue the kingdom of God with sharpened minds and hearts aflame for the Gospel. Biblical fidelity, confessional integrity, academic excellence and the development of godly character are foundational to our program. We invite you to prayerfully consider joining us and seeing where the Lord will take you next!
About the City of Charlotte
Charlotte is one of the 25 largest cities in the U.S. and the largest city in North Carolina. Nicknamed the Queen City, Charlotte and its resident county are named in honor of Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, the queen consort of British King George III during the time of the city’s founding.
Charlotte consistently ranks as one of the top growing cities and is the home to more than 10 Fortune 1000 companies, including household names such as Bank of America, Lowe’s, and Wachovia Corp.
