Job Description:
The WORSHIP LEADER works to accomplish our vision to see lives transformed by Jesus by helping people deepen their love of God through worship. Some of the major responsibilities of this position include:
Create, lead and continually improve a culture of worship in our church in order to see lives transformed by Jesus. Lead a weekly worship service committed to excellence and designed to help people deepen their love of God.
Recruit, empower, train and lead a team of worship volunteers for our weekly worship services.
Coordinate and lead an A/V team that supports both our in-person and online services.
Design various promotional materials such as sermon art, slides, social media posts, signs, etc.
Develop and improve SCC’s social media presence on all applicable platforms.
Operate within the agreed upon Ministry Standards of unity and repentance.
Lead from a place of ownership and curiosity.

Position Qualifications:
a. Displays an adequate level of quality in vocal and instrumental abilities to include reading and interpreting music, vocal and choral, and seeks to always improve.
b. Demonstrates comfort as a servant leader, building and leading a team of musicians that inspire and
move the congregation in worship.
c. Understands the unique environment of ministering in a retirement community and is willing to craft a worship environment that is relevant to that community.
d. Possesses some skill and experience in audio/visual and lighting.
