Prepare to Serve Christ in New York City

Welcome to RTS in New York City! The Apostle Paul exhorts Timothy to "present [himself] to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth" (2 Tim. 2:15). We believe that NYC is a strategic place for ministry, and that those who serve here need excellent training. We also believe this training is done best in the city. At our NYC campus we offer the the Master of Arts (Biblical Studies) degree (MABS). This degree is academically rigorous and theologically rich, providing a foundation for a lifetime of pastoral ministry, vocational ministry in the church, non-profit or academic sectors. Our faculty is comprised of accomplished professors who blend academic excellence with a passion for ministry and heart for students. Graduates who complete our MABS are eligible to apply to the City Ministry Program (CMP). The CMP offers year-long modules on preaching, missions, pastoral ministry and leadership. These modules are taught by Dr. Timothy Keller and other ministry practitioners in New York City. Our graduates are already serving in ministries and churches throughout New York City. (The Metropolitan New York Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America accepts the combination of the MABS degree and City Ministry Program as meeting the requirements for ordination.) If God has called you to serve in NYC then he has also called you to be trained for that ministry. Consider applying to our program. We would be honored to come alongside you in your preparation for a lifetime of ministry.
