About the Conference
RTS Jackson World Missions Conference has more than 40 years of history and tradition. This conference has always been an integral part of the history of RTS Jackson campus, especially after Rev. Dr. Paul B. Long, Sr., assumed the position of professor of Mission at RTS Jackson in the 1980s. Throughout the years we had the privilege of hearing keynote speakers like Paul Hiebert, Robert Coleman, Christy Wilson, Don Richardson, Arthur Glasser, Fergus MacDonald, David Robertson, John Piper, Douglas Kelly, Walter Kaiser, D.A. Carson, Frans Schalkwijk, Doug Nichols, and dozens more who have a passion for God’s missionary work across the street and around the world.
RTS Jackson World Missions Conference is the only conference every year organized by the Great Commission Society (former Society of Missions Inquiry) with the purpose of informing, encouraging, and motivating all RTS students, faculty, and staff to be actively committed to and involved with God’s Mission. And this Mission (Work) is to share the Gospel with everyone, everywhere, all the time; disciple the new believers; to plant and organize new churches; and to establish the local church leadership to equip God’s people for the work of making the Son of God known, through the power of the indwelling Spirit of God for the glory of God the Father. This is what RTS Jackson Annual World Missions Conference has been all about.
