Description of Organization

First Presbyterian Church is a Welcoming Church Community in Downtown Macon Committed to Knowing Christ and Making Him Known.

We were established in 1826. How does a church survive for nearly 200 years? By keeping the main thing the main thing.

At our core, we value above all things the right worship of God, the faithful preaching of His Word, the true teaching of His children, and the kingdom mission we have to make disciples in a community of all ages and peoples to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our church may have some age on her, but she is not OLD.  We are a downtown church, and we are filled each week with children of all ages, a vibrant youth ministry, and dynamic and serving adults who love each other and grow together.
