Dr. Ligon Duncan discusses two books by Dr. Kevin DeYoung: Just Do Something and Why We Love the Church. These two books provide practical information about the will of God and the doctrine of the church, respectively.

Hello, I’m Ligon Duncan, and this is RTS Book Notes. Today, I want to tell you about two popular, practical books by Dr. Kevin DeYoung. Dr. DeYoung is the senior pastor of the Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, and [associate] professor of systematic theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte. His book, Just Do Something, is on the subject of the will of God. There’s so many crazy things out there today on that subject; this is just a sound biblical exposition of that topic.

And then his book, Why We Love the Church. Again, the doctrine of the Church is so important to the Christian life, because we’re not called to live alone. We’re called to live together in community, under the authority of scripture, and under the structures that Jesus left for his church. This book celebrates that fact. Both of these books are published by Moody. And I think pastors and those who teach God’s people will find great help in them. Thanks so much for listening to RTS Book Notes.
