Dr. Ligon Duncan commends Dr. James Anderson’s contribution to the Great Thinkers series: David Hume. David Hume will be beneficial for anyone seeking to understand various philosophers and their impact on Christian thought.

Hello, I’m Ligon Duncan, and this is RTS Book Notes. Today, I want to tell you about a book by Dr. James Anderson. Dr. Anderson teaches theology and apologetics at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte and is also the dean for our global online program. This book is in the Great Thinker series published by P&R.

Tim Keller and I were talking a few months ago about Christopher Watkins’ contributions to this series and how helpful they were on Derrida and Foucault. Well, Dr. Anderson contributes the volume on David Hume, the very famous Scottish philosopher who had so much influence in his own time. This series introduces you to these important thinkers. It’ll be very helpful to pastors, professors, students, and others that want to be up to speed on philosophy and its impact on Christian thought. Thanks so much for listening to RTS Book Notes.
