JACKSON, Miss. — Reformed Theological Seminary’s senior leadership is pleased to announce that John Ingram has been hired as Director of Finance, effective April 3, 2023.

Ingram has worked in public accounting as an auditor for over seven years and comes to the seminary from GranthamPoole PLLC in Ridgeland, Miss., where he has served in the audit department since 2015. While at GranthamPoole, Ingram supervised and performed financial audits for various clients, including nonprofit organizations. His areas of practice include financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations.

As Director of Finance at RTS, Ingram will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to oversee the seminary’s finance and accounting teams, monitor cash flow, maintain financial records and reporting, perform internal audits, and ensure that the routine monetary operations of the institution run efficiently.

“I am thrilled to have John joining our finance team at Reformed Theological Seminary,” said CFO Jessica Short. “His background in public accounting and specific experience with nonprofits is exactly what we need to continue strengthening and refining our finance office policies and procedures to better serve the institution and focus on being good stewards of its resources.”

Ingram, a Certified Public Accountant since 2017, is an alumnus of Mississippi State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Accountancy degree with minors in business administration and economics. He is a member of Grace Baptist Church at Castlewoods in Brandon, Miss. and occasionally teaches adult Sunday school classes there.

“I am excited for this opportunity to serve at RTS,” said Ingram. “Theological education is a much-needed ministry for our churches today, and RTS has a proven history of providing robust education to many students training for Christian ministry. I am looking forward to using the skills I have developed during my time in public accounting to assist in this work.”
