Job Description:
Covenant Reformed Church is seeking a full-time pastor to shepherd a congregation of about 150 baptized members in an urban and multicultural setting. A successful candidate must be committed to expository preaching with application, the weekly catechization of our youth as part of a three-year discipleship program, evangelism, and hospitality.
Position Qualifications:
We are orthodox, conservative, and thoroughly Reformed. As such, two issues bear mention that are important to us. 1) We use the KJV and NKJV in public worship because we believe they are faithful translations of the best manuscripts that have stood the test of time (the Byzantine/Majority text family). If you hold to the Wescott and Hort Greek text or its derivatives, you would not be a good fit for us. 2) We believe the doctrine of six-day creation as articulated by the Reformed/Presbyterian creeds and confessions. If you have any hesitation embracing this understanding of the doctrine, then, once again, you would not be a good fit for us.
