Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
- Administrative and operational oversight: Overseeing the church’s finances, strategic planning, daily operations, and some personnel matters
- Facility maintenance and security: Overseeing the maintenance and security of the church’s facilities
- Supporting the senior pastor: Freeing the senior pastor to focus on the Word, prayer, soul care, and staH/leadership development
- Financial Oversight: Manages the church’s finances, including working with accountants/bookkeeping staff to ensure accurate financial operations including annual budget, paying bills, and managing inventory
- Monthly financial reports for leadership team
- Managing oHicial communication and correspondence–incoming and outgoing mail, church-wide email, oHice phone
- Overseeing vendors and outside organizations–outsourced services organizations, facilities maintenance companies, etc.
- Managing and organizing supplies and materials–oHice, kitchen, books, merchandise
- Process improvement–developing and fine-tuning organizational processes
- Church Management System database–working with our CMS (Planning Center Online) to keep records current and useful
The Compensation
-Salary range is $65,950 to $91,700 dependent on credentials and experience.
-Full time, salaried position
-Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 403b, gym membership, mileage reimbursement, PTO, housing allowance

THE BIG PICTURE
Crossway Bible Church (https://www.crosswaysa.org) is seeking a full-time Church Operations Manager.
Crossway Bible Church is a discipleship-focused church in San Antonio, Texas. We are committed to unapologetically preaching the authority of Scripture, exalting Christ in worship, an active belief in the vital activity of prayer, and boldly sharing the good news of Christ. The foundation for this has been laid throughout our first 10 years, and we are excited to build upon this and shepherd the flock more eHectively, expand our gospel impact, and equip the next generation of members and leaders for greater gospel fruitfulness.
The Church Operations Manager will work within a very broad scope to develop and coordinate the overall administration and manage the business of the church, with specific oversight in the areas below. The Operations Manager will handle much of the administration of the church at large. The primary goal of this position is to provide support in the spirit of Acts 6:2-4, ensuring that the Senior Pastor, other staff leadership, and the Elder Team can center their weekly emphasis on their primary areas of responsibility, and improving excellence and urgency with which administration and projects are handled.
Requirements
GOSPEL TRANSFORMATION & CHARACTER: Must have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and be spiritually mature, teachable, trustworthy, humble to follow and able to lead - elder-qualified according to scripture.
THEOLOGY: Must enthusiastically embrace the doctrine, mission, and ministry philosophy of Crossway Bible Church and be a church member and an active participant in a Small Group – an able shepherd.
OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP: Experience in strategic leadership, planning, and aspires to serve in a pastoral/elder role.
COMMUNICATION: Exemplary oral and written communication skills and the ability to manage and supervise others.
