Associate Pastor: Living Message Church
Job Description:
- Ministry of the Word
- Preach and teach regularly as assigned
- Lead Bible studies and discipleship classes
- Connections & Assimilation
- Oversee guest follow-up and integration into church life
- Develop pathways from Guest à Next Steps Class à Groups /Disciple à Serve
- Equip volunteers to engage new attendees
- Youth Ministry Oversight
- Provide theological direction and leadership for youth ministry
- Ensure teaching is biblically sound and gospel-centered
- Disciple youth leaders and build a sustainable ministry structure
- Teach the youth meeting while developing potential leaders to take the role.
- Small Groups & Discipleship
- Develop and oversee small group ministry
- Train and support group leaders
- Ensure doctrinal consistency and spiritual growth across groups
- Shepherding & Pastoral Care
- Provide counseling, visitation, and member care
- Assist elders in shepherding the flock
- Engage in prayer ministry and spiritual oversight
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with the Senior Pastor and elders
- Participate in leadership meetings and vision planning
- Model unity, humility, and servant leadership
Position Qualifications:
Degree (Associates, bachelor’s or a master’s degree), in biblical exposition, theology, church leadership, church counseling or general ministry.
Must be comfortable with communicating with people and teaching the word.
