(JACKSON, Miss.) – Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson is excited to announce its chapel schedule for the fall 2021 semester. Chapel services are held in Grace Chapel on Wednesday mornings from 11:00 to 11:50 AM during the fall and spring semesters.
“Not only does chapel bring us together as a community, but it also brings us together under the Word of God,” said Dr. Mike McKelvey, Interim Dean of Students. “And if there is anything that we need most, it is the preaching of Jesus Christ and him crucified.”
Dr. John Fesko, Harriet Barbour Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology, added, “We have an outstanding line-up of chapel speakers for the 2021 fall semester that come from different corners in Christ’s church. They will undoubtedly point us to Christ and encourage us in our Christian walk.”
The chapel speakers for the fall 2021 semester include RTS faculty, staff, and guests. On September 22, Dr. Julius Kim will preach as part of the annual John Reed Miller Preaching Lectures. Other guests include Dr. Matt Ayars, Paul Hurst, and Rev. Elbert McGowan.
Following each chapel service, students, faculty, and staff gather for a time of food, fellowship, and prayer in the Sam Patterson Student Center. Friends of RTS in the Jackson area are encouraged to join for any of the fall 2021 chapel services, as well as for the lunch and time of fellowship to follow.
