When to apply
Persons seeking admission may apply at any time.

Completing the application
Please fill in the information in the spaces provided. You may want to copy and paste longer narratives from your word processor into a text area box. Mark any fields that do not apply to you with n/a. If any fields are left blank, the form will not be processed. A secured space is provided for credit card payment of the $75.00 nonrefundable application fee. Please send a recent photograph via email or regular mail. When you submit an application page, it is saved on our server. Later, you may return to these pages and edit them. Once you have completed the entire application process you will no longer be able to edit your pages.

Academic transcripts
Please request that each college or university you have attended send an official transcript of your work to: RTS Global Education, 2101 Carmel Road, Charlotte NC 28226. All transcripts must be sent directly to us by each college even if the work appears as transfer credit on another transcript. Remember, you must make this request.

References
RTS requires references from your pastor and a friend. You will be asked for the email address of each reference. Before you begin filling in the application, you should have the email addresses of your references. If any of your references do not have email addresses there is a provision for you to send them through regular mail.

International students
All international students must establish English language proficiency. All applicants whose first language is not English, must demonstrate English proficiency by taking the “Test of English as a Foreign Language” (TOEFL). Though there are three different forms of the TOEFL exam, internet-based (iBT) TOEFL exam results are the only form accepted by Reformed Theological Seminary. To be considered for full admittance to the MDiv, MA, MABS, MATS, MAR, applicants must have a minimum score of 84 with scores no lower than 21 on each of the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing). To be considered for full admittance to the DMin, MAC, and MAMFT, applicants must have a minimum score of 100 with scores no lower than 25 on each of the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing).

If you put this number in the appropriate place on the test registration form, your score report will be mailed to us.

Notification of your application
RTS has a rolling admissions policy. As soon as your application and all of the required transcripts and references are received, the admissions committee will review your file, and you will be notified of the decision. If there is a delay in receiving one or more of your required references or transcripts, you will be notified.

Other requirements
The Admissions Committee will examine the credentials submitted to determine each applicant’s suitability for admission. Admission may be granted on the basis of these credentials alone, or the Committee may also require one or more of the following:

  • A personal interview with the candidate
  • An entrance examination in any subject which the Committee deems basic to seminary study
  • The Graduate Record Examination


Acceptance of Admission

Upon notification of admission to RTS, applicants must confirm their intention to study with RTS Global by means of a non-refundable deposit of $200 within two weeks of the notification. Upon enrollment in the first course, the deposit will be credited toward the tuition for the course. Have all transcripts and any additional admissions materials sent to:
