Description of Organization

Covenant has a rich history extending to 1893. Our greatest delight is to gather in worship each week. Our liturgy is distinctively Reformed with a commitment to worship according to Scripture. Each week Covenant has two worship services—one “contemporary” and one “blended.” While the style of our services differs, in both our focus is on Christ and his gospel, and in both we take joy in singing both the “old hymns of the faith” and new songs that give expression to our ever new reasons to praise.

Covenant’s church structure includes a session of 12 elders and 11 deacons. Various ministry teams mobilize the church body to carry on the ministry of the church, each led by a member of session. Covenant currently sees approximately 250 individuals gather in weekly worship.

We are a vibrant congregation with members serving in many ministries—teaching Sunday School to young and old; serving as small group hosts and leaders; leading men’s and women’s ministries, helping with Wednesday night children and youth discipleship, planning fellowship opportunities, creating events to serve and engage our community, and utilizing musical gifts in worship.

Covenant also has a deep passion for the mission of the church both in our community and around the world. The church supports and participates with nearly 30 mission partners locally, nationally, and internationally.  Situated in Northwest Omaha in a growing community it is our joy to serve our neighbors and to lift up the gospel of Christ in our place.
