Youth Pastor
Job Description:
Redeemer Church is seeking a Youth Pastor to pour the message and love of Jesus Christ into our youth with the hope that they will be transformed by the Holy Spirit and go and do likewise for others now and throughout their lives. The Youth Pastor will report primarily to the Pastor of Family Ministries but will also work collaboratively with the Senior Pastor and the Session.

Position Qualifications:
1. Ordained or actively working towards ordination.
2. Strong working knowledge of the Scriptures and the system of doctrine as summarized by the Westminster Confession of Faith
3. Ability to communicate our system of doctrine in a manner that maintains the integrity of the truth while contextualizing the message in a meaningful way for youth to understand.
4. Adept at developing relationships with 6th-12th grade students of varying interests and backgrounds, including those with special needs.
5. Possesses a teachable heart, a good attitude and a joyful sense of humor, flexibility, and a spirit of unity.
6. Possesses strong leadership qualities to effectively direct all associated youth ministries.
7. Ability to recruit, train and oversee teams to establish and maintain effective youth ministries.
8. Capable of clear, concise, and effective communication with youth, parents and volunteers.
9. Possesses knowledge of students’ developmental stages of life and their current culture to strategically choose and implement appropriate programming.
10. Experience working with youth and their families within the context of the local church.
11. Comfortable with the use of technology and social media to ensure plans and activities are well-communicated and understood by the youth and their parents.
12. The position requires a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to pass a background check.

Redeemer Church is a Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) congregation located in Evans, Georgia. Evans is a growing suburban city just outside of Augusta. Redeemer was particularized in 2003 and since then has grown to a membership of over 400 members. The youth program currently serves an average of 40 young people weekly. There is tremendous opportunity for growth as the congregation has approximately 75 middle and high school aged students with an additional 40 elementary aged students poised to enter the ministry in the coming years. We are seeking to fill this position as our previous youth pastor of 5 years accepted a call as a solo pastor at another church within our presbytery. Redeemer’s mission is to glorify God by reaching people for Christ and furthering the Kingdom of God in and through the lives of His people. We seek to accomplish this by ensuring God is worshiped through the proclamation of His Word in an environment where families are strengthened, and believers are equipped to impact those in their lives.
