Second Full-Time Pastor
Job Description:
The new minister would work alongside our current pastor, Rev. Michael McGee, and the Consistory by implementing the vision and mission of the Church in the areas of discipleship and outreach. His primary ministerial duties will be to our youth and college-aged members as well as the unchurched in our community. He would also have a share in all the duties and responsibilities of the pastoral ministry as set forth in Article 27 of the RCUS Constitution including the opportunities to teach, preach, administer the sacraments, and any other duties as requested or needed.
We seek to improve on our ministry goals by calling a second full-time pastor and assigning to him the following areas of labor:
- Discipling individuals in their personal walk with Christ.
- Mentoring parents for the purpose of strengthening our covenant families.
- Equipping our youth with knowledge, zeal, and love for the Savior.
- Reaching the unchurched in the greater Sioux Falls area.

Position Qualifications:
- Fulfills the requirements established in 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9 and 1 Peter 5:1-4.
- Aligned with the Three Forms of Unity and TRC’s vision/mission statement and strategies
- Spiritually mature, trustworthy, humble, and teachable
- Exhibits personal integrity and moral purity
- Loves people and is willing to serve them
- Able to share the Gospel and connect with the unchurched
- Desirous of discipling and mentoring
- An effective communicator who is relational and listens well.
- Possesses good leadership skills.
- Able to provide visionary, strategic, innovative, pastoral leadership for outreach ministries
- Energetic and self-motivated
- Able to work with the church officers and committees
- Interested in working with teenagers, young adults, and diverse groups
