Job Description:
The church has a history extending back to 1810. Recently the church broke off from the PCUSA. The church has struggled for eight years and is now seeking to replant. We own a nice church facility and are in fairly good financial condition.. The church is comprised of a few elderly people, but eager to build a congregation once we find a leader. We are starting with five loafs and two fish.
Our first requirement is a pastor with a Gospel centered message—the Gospel in all of Scripture for all of life. He would also be a man of prayer and lead us accordingly. It would require an outgoing people person who can help create and capture the vision for reaching the community and beyond.
Position Qualifications:
MDiv. or working on MDiv
A pastor who leads with prayer
Gifted preacher/teacher of the full counsel of God – Gospel driven
Outgoing, confident, people loving man
Excited about catching the vision for rebirth of this historical church and reaching the community for Christ
Would need to raise half of the stated salary through the presbytery or other sources
