Advanced Readings in Herman Bavinck - 2.00 Hours
This course is a reading seminar that works through Bavinck’s texts systematically and chronologically, paying specific attention to those texts that lie outside of the dogmatics. This course surveys the development of the Reformed Theological Tradition in the Church of England from Thomas Cranmer to the Present and compares and contrasts this stream with the various other English theological traditions. It introduces students to the classic works of the major theologians throughout the period and explores the theology behind and historical reception of the Thirty-Nine articles.
