This course offers an introduction to Shakespearean tragedy and focuses on careful readings of four of Shakespeare’s most important tragedies (Hamlet, King Lear, Macbeth and Othello), with special attention paid to the cultural, literary, biblical, and theological context(s) of Shakespeare’s tragedies and their relevance to contemporary ministry
