The third of the four-part 2018 Hughes Preaching Lecture Series from Dr. Philip G. Ryken, President of Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL) and former senior minister of the historical Tenth Pres in Philadelphia. The series is entitled “Fully Evangelical, Totally Biblical, Maximally Practical Homiletics.”
In this year’s Hughes Preaching Lectures, Philip Ryken addresses four vital and sometimes neglected topics to help new and experienced preachers and other Bible teachers get the most out of their ministry of God’s Word. The goal is a preaching ministry more definitely shaped by the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, drawing more fully from the entire Bible, focusing more squarely on its central themes, and applying its truths more skillfully and sensitively.
