Mrs. Karen Thigpen

Education

Karen Thigpen joined the staff after graduating with her Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from RTS Orlando in 2025. She comes to the team with over twenty-five years of leadership experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors with a strong focus on strategic marketing, fundraising, vision casting and community development. She originally hails from Detroit and has earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). A strong advocate for the arts, Karen serves as a lay leader with Arts Fellowship Orlando, a ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, where has been attending since 2013. She is married to Jonathan and together they have four children.
