About Dr. Roberts
Dr. Allen Roberts is Visiting Lecturer in Medical Ethics at Reformed Theological Seminary, Washington. He took his B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1977 and his M.D. from George Washington University in 1983. He completed his MDiv at RTS Washington in 2013, and an MA in bioethics through Trinity International University.
In 2003, he retired from the U.S. Navy Medical Corps after a 20-year career in internal medicine and pulmonary and critical care, during which he served as White House Physician under President George H.W. Bush. He practices critical care medicine at Georgetown University Hospital, where he now serves as the Associate Medical Director and Chair of the Clinical Ethics Committee.
