(WASHINGTON, D.C.) The following letter is posted with permission from the family of Dr. Howard Griffith:
As many of you may already know, our father, Howard Griffith, passed away in his sleep early in the morning on March 20. After a long battle with cancer, he has gone to be with his heavenly Father in glory. We are so thankful for the example of faith that he gave us, and that the Lord took him quickly without prolonged suffering or pain.
The memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 30, at 2:00 p.m., to be held at McLean Presbyterian Church (1020 Balls Hill Rd., McLean, VA, 22101), with a reception to follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, our mother wishes that those who are interested make a contribution to the Washington, D.C. campus of Reformed Theological Seminary, the institution that Howard loved and served so faithfully as professor and dean.
Contributions may be made by mail or online. If by mail, checks payable to “RTS Washington” and designated “In memory of Dr. Griffith” may be mailed to:
8227 Old Courthouse Rd.
Vienna, VA 22182
Those who wish to give online may do so at www.rtsdc.com:
- Using the “Campus” drop-down select Washington, D.C.
- Using the “Area” drop-down select Core Ministry Fund.
- Using the “Honor/Memory” drop-down select In Memory Of and enter “Dr. Howard Griffith” in the available field.
Our family is grateful for the outpouring of support we have received from so many friends and family who love our dad. We continue to rest in the Lord’s will and trust in His mercy.
