Steve Childers to Transition to Pathway Learning

After 22 years of distinguished service to Reformed Theological Seminary, Dr. Steve Childers will transition on June 1, 2017 from RTS to work full-time with Pathway Learning, a church leadership training organization Steve serves as the founding President. Pathway Learning provides an innovative online and onsite educational platform designed to resource church leaders who lack access to the benefits of residential theological education–especially church leaders in the developing world.

Following two decades of ministry as a church planter and pastor (urban and suburban) in the PCA, Steve spent the past 22 years at RTS Orlando as a professor of practical theology, teaching church planting, evangelism, spiritual formation, church renewal, missions, and leadership. In addition to his work at RTS, Steve has provided training on the field (conferences, resources, coaching, consulting, etc.) for church planters, pastors, and missionaries around the world through Global Church Advancement–continuing now as Pathway Learning.

Steve has exercised a profound influence on the seminary, its students, and alumni. His leadership and teaching in the RTS Orlando DMin program resourced and promoted movements of church planting and renewal at home and abroad. His world missions course inspired numerous RTS students to serve the church in countries across the globe. RTS Orlando is grateful to Steve for his faithful service to the seminary over the years and celebrates his new venture with Pathway Learning. Please join us in praying for the Lord’s richest blessings on Steve and on his future endeavors.
