Rev. Dr. Carl Ellis, Jr. has been named Senior Research Fellow with the African American Leadership Initiative (AALI) at RTS.
Ellis has guest-lectured, taught courses, and served as an AALI mentor at RTS Jackson.
On September 6, Ellis tweeted, “I couldn’t be more honored to be named Sr Research Fellow for African American Leadership Initiative” followed by “As Sr Research Fellow w/ African American Leadership Intitiative AALI, I see endless possibilities.”
Ellis has served in urban and multi-cultural ministry for decades, working in prison ministry and serving as faculty or adjunct faculty with several schools including Westminster Theological Seminary, Redeemer Seminary (Dallas), and Reformed Theological Seminary. He is currently the Associate Pastor for Cultural Apologetics at New City Fellowship. He holds a Masters in Theology from Westminster and a D.Phil from Oxford Graduate School.
