RTS Announces Plans for Fall 2020 Classes

Earlier this week, the Reformed Theological Seminary Leadership Team met to discuss plans for the fall semester. I’m pleased to announce that, Lord willing (James 4:15), our plan for fall 2020 is to offer on-campus and in-person education on our campuses.

Our community desires to be back together as students, faculty, and staff, but we have not made the decision glibly. We have been following the best available data sources regarding the coronavirus pandemic and related government mandates, and we believe that we can provide a safe and fruitful environment for theological education this fall. We will continue to monitor the situation and implement social distancing and sanitization protocols as needed to ensure the health and safety of the RTS family.

By God’s grace, we’ve proven to be uniquely positioned to navigate changing circumstances, due to over 30 years of experience in remote learning. We are also preparing contingency plans — though we hope not to need them — in the event that the situation changes rapidly in the fall, in order to continue the same standard of theological education.

Please continue to pray for God’s mercy in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. We are thankful for the ways he has been kind to the RTS family in this season, and we look forward to reuniting this fall.
