RTS Orlando’s Assistant Professor of Old Testament and Dean of Students John Scott Redd, Jr., successfully defended his thesis “Constituent Postponement in Biblical Hebrew Verse” this past Friday to earn his doctorate of philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in the Semitic and Egyptian Languages and Literatures program at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
Furthermore, Redd was honored to be asked to give the invocation at the graduation ceremony for the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at The Catholic University of America on May 12. Redd will also deliver the commencement address at the Reformed Theological Seminary-Washington D.C. commencement May 25 and will officially become the president of that campus on June 1.
Redd is a graduate of The College of William and Mary (B.A.) and earned his Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) at Reformed Theological Seminary-Orlando, class of 2004. He and his wife Jenn have four daughters.
