Dr. Harold OJ Brown Passes Away

Dr. Brown went home to be with the Lord, Sunday evening, July 8, 2007, at 8:25 pm, passing peacefully and surrounded by family members and close friends.

Dr. Brown’s funeral, held on Thursday, July 12 in Dunnellon, Florida, was a glorious event, according to his wife Grace. Two ministers, the Reverend Keeth Staton of the Springs Presbyterian Church of Dunnellon and Anglican Rector Dr. Jon Shuler, conducted the service.  The Brown’s son-in-law, Michael, also spoke and paid tribute to Dr. Brown. Grace said that music dominated the service with songs being sung prior to the service, as people entered, and throughout the service, numbering at least ten songs sung, providing the service with a spirit of worship and joy.  Those paying their respect to Dr. Brown came from numerous states, including Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, and Arizona. Thank you for your prayers.
