Reformed Theological Seminary, Dallas is pleased to announce that Jay Wieland has been hired as the new Director of Admissions and Recruiting.
Wieland is a lifelong Dallasite, earning his Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas. He is currently an MDiv student at RTS Dallas and a member of Park Cities Presbyterian Church. Wieland and his wife, Carolina, have four children: James, Eleanor, Heather, and John.
Dr. Mark McDowell, Executive Director of the Dallas campus, noted, “We are blessed to have Jay join the team in Texas. He brings experience, wisdom, collegiality, and a burden to see students thrive and serve Christ’s church.”
In addition to his work at RTS, Wieland and his family serve as local missionaries through Apartment Life, a ministry to residents at a local apartment community. In his new role at RTS, Wieland brings a passion for walking beside people called to pastoral and ministry work so that they can care well for their flocks.
Wieland commented, “I love connecting with others about RTS, whether they’re a current student, interested in exploring RTS Dallas, or a pastor or ministry leader at a local church. I also love meeting with people at the great coffee shops and local lunch spots around Dallas.”
