RTS Charlotte Announces New Director of Admissions and Recruitment

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte is pleased to announce that Jack Roylston will become Director of Admissions and Recruitment, effective August 1, 2023.

Roylston is an alumnus of Covenant College, where he earned a B.A. in philosophy and worked as an admissions counselor upon graduation. He then served as a missionary in East Africa with his wife Andrea for several years and joined the staff of RTS Charlotte as an admissions counselor after beginning MDiv studies in 2021. He and Andrea have a son, Abram.

Current Director of Admissions and Recruitment Nate Groelsema has accepted a call to serve as an assistant pastor at University Reformed Church (PCA) in East Lansing, Mich.

“I couldn’t be more pleased with this promotion,” said Groelsema. “Jack is well-known for his faithfulness, respected among his peers, and has greatly contributed to the success of our admissions work over the last two years as an admissions counselor.”

RTS Charlotte President Dr. Michael J. Kruger added, “We are thrilled that Jack Roylston will be our next Director of Admissions. His previous experience in admissions, both in undergrad admissions at Covenant College and as an admissions counselor here at RTS Charlotte, paired with his love for the church, makes him a great fit for this position at RTS Charlotte. We look forward to seeing how the Lord will use him to continue to grow our campus in the years to come.”
