Phoebe Pritchett Hired as Community Life Coordinator at RTS Charlotte

phoebe-pritchett(CHARLOTTE, N.C.) — Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte is pleased to announce the hiring of Phoebe Pritchett as Community Life Coordinator, beginning June 1, 2020.

Phoebe graduated from Reinhardt University with a B.M.E. (Bachelor’s in Music Education) in 2014. After graduation, she worked at Eastern Shore Presbyterian Church in Fairhope, Alabama as the Girls Youth Assistant where she led small groups, taught Bible studies, and planned events. Phoebe started as a student at RTS Charlotte in 2018 and will graduate in December 2020 with her MABS. She currently works in the RTS admissions office as an admissions counselor and is an intern at Ballantyne Presbyterian Church.

The primary purpose of the Community Life Coordinator (CLC) is to create an on-campus community at RTS Charlotte that is deep, vibrant, joyful, and Christ-centered. The CLC will also schedule visits and communicate with prospective students to maximize their campus visits.

Dr. Michael J. Kruger, President of RTS Charlotte, commented, “We are so excited to have Phoebe Pritchett join the RTS Charlotte team as Community Life Coordinator. We know she will continue what Mallie Taylor started, namely making the Charlotte campus a rich, warm, and inviting community for both men and women. And, following in the footsteps of Katy McIlvaine, she will be a wonderful host for prospective students who visit the campus.”

As Phoebe joins the RTS staff, we say good-bye to Mallie Taylor and Katy McIlvaine. Mallie faithfully served as the CLC for the past 3 years, where she brought energy and enthusiasm to the student body and started new initiatives for the women’s community, including the year-long Teaching Women to Teach class. Mallie and her husband, Gifford, recently celebrated the birth of their second child.

Katy has worked in the Admissions office since 2014, first as an admissions counselor and most recently as the Coordinator for Jobs, Housing, & Campus Visits. During that time, Katy implemented a streamlined student visit process and trained student workers. She and her husband, Greg, had their first child in November.
