Convocation
New and returning students are invited to attend Convocation on the first day of class. Convocation signifies the beginning of a new semester. A free community lunch will follow at noon in the Fellowship Hall.

This year’s chapel theme is “From a Bath to a Banquet: The Christian Life through the Sacraments.” Just as Luther described the Psalms as a “little Bible,” the whole Christian life can be examined through baptism and the Lord’s Supper. So in addition to the privilege of giving God the glory due his name in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, we will have the privilege of hearing him speak.

Chapel: Dr. Ligon Duncan
Chapel is held in Grace Chapel on Wednesday mornings from 11:00 to 11:50 AM during the Fall and Spring semesters. The purpose of chapel is to praise God with singing, to offer prayer for the seminary community, and to sit together as a community under the preached Word of God. Attendance is required for all faculty members and for all students taking two or more classes during the Fall or Spring semesters as part of the RTS Jackson graduation requirement.…
