Jesus uttered one of the most disheartening phrases in the Bible when he turned to his disciples and promised, "In this world you will have trouble." However, he immediately followed this distressing promise with one of great encouragement: "Take heart! I have overcome the world." Because Christ has overcome the world, so too can his people.
