Upper School Science Teacher (9th – 12th)

Job Description:

Upper School Science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics

Candidate should have the desire and skills to present academically rigorous instruction in science subjects through the lens of a biblical worldview.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and mission.
  • Integrate a biblical worldview into all aspects of science instruction.
  • Utilize diverse teaching strategies to meet the needs of various learning styles.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the school’s mission and academic goals.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and classroom expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and classroom activities.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and faculty meetings.
  • Model Christ-like behavior and serve as a spiritual mentor to students.

 

Position Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Strong commitment to Christian education and the integration of faith into teaching.
  • Experience teaching high school science subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Active membership in a local church and agreement with the school’s statement of faith.

Work Schedule:
Full-time, following the academic calendar with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities for school events.

The goal for every CCS faculty member is to prayerfully guide students in developing attitudes, skills, and knowledge that will shape them into mature, capable, and responsible Christians, all for the praise and glory of God.
