Description of Organization

Valley Presbyterian Church is a Christ-centered congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America that follows Christ together for the renewal of our community and the hope of the world.

ABOUT VALLEY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH AND MADISON, ALABAMA

Valley was founded in 2009 by about 40 people from Southwood PCA who had a vision to see a PCA church in Madison. At the time, Madison was the largest city in Alabama without a PCA church. Valley was a plant of Providence Presbytery. Two churches significantly impacted our founding: Southwood Presbyterian Church in neighboring Huntsville, AL, and North Cincinnati Community Church (PCA) in Mason, OH. Horizon Elementary School was our home for the first five years. In 2014, we moved to our current property on the corner of Hughes Road and Eastview Drive, right in the heart of Madison. In 2021, we launched the Renewal & Hope campaign to raise money for a property transformation. God willing, groundbreaking on this $6 million ministry expansion will occur in 2025. In 2023, Valley sent about 30 members to plant All Saints Presbyterian Church in the Lowe Mill district. Valley is deeply committed to supporting church planting efforts alongside our own ministry impact for the renewal of our community and the hope of the world. In 2025, we currently average 280 for worship and 450 total participation of members and regular attenders. The town of Madison is located in Madison County, near the northern border of Alabama. The city is included in the Huntsville Metropolitan Area, which is the fastest-growing metropolitan area in Alabama and one of the state’s most diverse places. Madison is within a 2-hour drive of Chattanooga, Nashville & Birmingham. Madison, Alabama, is known for its high-quality schools, highly educated residents, and high-tech companies, such as NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, Redstone Arsenal, Blue Origin Engine Factory, U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, and the Dunlop Tire Testing Facility.
