Job Description:
Westminster Presbyterian Church is seeking a solo Pastor.
Position Qualifications:
Westminster Presbyterian Church is seeking a solo Pastor who:
o Is an ordained minister in the EPC or is willing to be ordained in the EPC
o Can bring a level of inspiration and leadership that will be reflected in the Session, church
committees and the congregation
o Will be instrumental in developing the youth organization, membership, Sunday school
and worship service attendance
o Is an effective communicator with large groups, small groups, and individuals and can
deliver inspirational sermons from the pulpit, sermons based on sound biblical principles
that are the bedrock of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
o Is gifted (by the Holy Spirit) as a Pastor-Teacher
Is a prayer leader who strongly believes in the power of prayer
o Has good administrative skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
o Is an effective teacher and speaker
o Is guided by the Holy Spirit and will be a leader of leaders
o Delights to be with God’s people: warm, welcoming, encouraging and relational
o Loves the Lord and stands on Biblical Truth
o Will provide a solid biblically based, reformed ministry of preaching and teaching
o Is compassionate, and an engaging speaker who motivates and inspires congregants
o Will make an effort to visit all congregants, especially the sick and shut-ins
o Will reach out to the community and build relationships
o Is innovative in Bible studies for all ages
Has a genuine heart for missions, respecting the historical interest of the church and
inspiring the congregation to be mission minded
