Description of Organization
Faith Presbyterian has served as a focal point for reformed teaching in the Brookhaven, Mississippi community since 1973. Our Name, “Faith” emerged as believers stepped away from the PCUSA to join in faith the PCA. The newly-formed church pledged to be debt-free before construction began on what is now our current facility; our first service was held on July 7,1977.
Later, an extension was added to include the gymnasium and Faith Presbyterian Kindergarten class classrooms. Adjustments were also made in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf coast, and Faith’s gymnasium became a shelter for over 200 people. As of today, our building is a testament to God’s faithfulness and tangible provision to our congregation.
