Hello, my name is Juhwan Baek, and I am a pastor serving at In Christ Church (ICC).
ICC is a Korean church in Charlotte that was established in January 2023 with 11 families coming together to share and pray over ecclesiology, dreaming of becoming a “family community that loves one another in truth.” Currently, we have 13 adults, 7 youth, and 6 kids worshiping together.
At ICC, we value the true gospel, expository preaching, and intergenerational worship as core principles of our church. Therefore, we worship together as one body, from children to adults. However, due to the characteristics of a Korean church, where the primary language for worship is Korean, it is not easy for our youth to build fellowship and communion with God during worship.
To address this issue, we will hold intergenerational worship once a month, while dividing adults and youth for separate worship on the remaining Sundays.
To support this, we are seeking a part-time minister who can serve our youth with love and the Word. While we are open to discussion, we prefer someone who has studied at a seminary for at least two years and has experience in youth ministry. The part-time stipend from the church is $1,000 per month.
The job description is as follows:
- Lead weekly Sunday worship (praise and sermon).
- Organize 1-2 activities per month.
- Conduct a PTA meeting once every three months.
- Fellowship with the senior pastor.
