Family Life Pastor: Poulsbo Community Church

Position Summary

As our Family Life Pastor, you’ll be responsible for leading and inspiring our kids and student ministries (Birth – 12 grade). You’ll create engaging, innovative programs which are gospel-centered, Bible-based, while helping kids to become and grow as disciples of Jesus. You’ll also work closely with parents to support them in their role as disciple makers and faith leaders in their homes.

What you will do

• Develop a clear vision: Align Family Life with the overall mission of the church.
• Establish a Student Ministry Program: Build a thriving student ministry program from the ground up, tailored to the needs of PCC families.
• Create Epic Experiences: Design and implement fun, engaging programs for kids of all ages. Think Sunday Kids Ministry, midweek activities, camps, special events and more.
• Inspire the Next Generation: Teach age-appropriate Bible lessons that are relevant, relatable, and full of energy.
• Build a Strong Team: Recruit, train, and develop a team of passionate volunteers who love working with kids and students.
• Connect with Families: Foster a sense of community among families and provide resources and support to help them grow in their faith.
• Be a Leader: Lead and inspire our kid and student ministry team to reach new heights.
• Community Outreach: Drive engagement and build relationships with local schools and community organizations.

Who you are

• Faith-Based: You’re committed and aligned with our church’s doctrine, mission and values.
• Passionate and Creative: You love working with kids and have a knack for creating fun, engaging experiences.
• Experienced: You have at least 4+ years of experience in kids’ and student’s ministry.
• Knowledgeable: You understand student development and learning.
• Excellent Communicator: You can build relationships, lead effectively, and collaborate with diverse personalities.
• Organized: You’re detail-oriented and can manage multiple projects at once.
• Preferred: a bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry or related field.

PCC is led by Lead Pastor Lincoln Loney who has served the church since its founding in 2000. Under the leadership of Pastor Lincoln and his team, PCC has expanded into an 8-acre campus including a worship and administrative center, and has become a vital part of the Poulsbo community.
